Kirk leads technology strategy for Cambia’s Health Plans, working with Health Plans business leadership and technology teams to create transformative, person-focused solutions. Overseeing Cambia Enterprise Architecture as well as multiple full-stack delivery teams, Kirk’s organization is responsible for driving Cambia Health Plans’ Cloud First strategy and its migration to an event-driven microservices architecture in the Cloud. Kirk’s teams also drive interoperability services between Cambia Health Plans and the health care ecosystem of providers, payers, employers and consumers.
Prior to moving into his current role in March of 2017, Kirk served as Cambia’s Chief Information Security Officer for six years. As Cambia’s CISO, Kirk drove information security for all Cambia lines of business and was an early advocate and adopter of building and hosting HIPAA workloads in the Cloud. Kirk has over 17 years of experience in healthcare information security, including nine years with WebMD where Kirk served as Director of Information Security.
Cambia Health Solutions was an early adopter of storing and processing HIPAA data in the cloud. Having built its first cloud applications in 2010, Cambia today runs hundreds of workloads in the cloud supporting its Consumer Solutions and Health Plans businesses. Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Kirk Anderson drives the organization’s aggressive cloud-first strategy for its six health plans.
